Hooray! I called my landlady today, and she said I could move in MONDAY afternoon instead of Tuesday morning after I went to my 2 classes! Which means I gotta get my rear in gear and start packing the rest of my shit up!! That part kinda sucks, but oh well. I'm excited YAY!!!!
Plus, I found THE coolest futon on earth that I want for my apartment. I'd get it and have it shipped to my apartment, but I sure don't know my new address...Guess I should figure that out soon. That and get internet and cable. YAY. Still excited. Tee hee. Guess I'd better finish packing!!

Eggs
This morning I made myself some fried eggs for breakfast. After years of only scrambling my eggs because I always broke the yolk on the fried eggs, I decided I was sick of scrambled eggs for the time being, and ta dahhhhh! I made fried eggs w/o breaking the yolk. Dad wasn't even there to pester me about how to do it. So proud of myself :)
Still haven't heard from my landlady, she was supposed to call yesterday about when I could move in for sure, but she didn't, so I will give her a call up this afternoon and find out the information on that. I also have to make sure I can hang my bookshelf up, otherwise I'll have to bring my tall free-standing shelving unit...that thing will just take up floor space. Bah.
I think I'll take apart my baker's rack today...I don't really know what else I should pack! I don't want to bring too much stuff, but I need to have the necessary things with me. It's confusing. I've never done this before lol. Oh well, I'll be back home over Labor Day weekend.
Oh, btw, I might not have internet right away when I get into my apartment, so I probably won't be able to IM or update my blog for a bit until I get it set up.

randomness
Waitin’, watchin’ the clock, it’s four o’clock, it’s got to stop
Tell him, take no more, she practices her speech
As he opens the door, she rolls over...
Pretends to sleep as he looks her over
She lies and says she’s in love with him, can’t find a better man...
She dreams in color, she dreams in red, can’t find a better man...
Can’t find a better man (2x)
Ohh...
Talkin’ to herself, there’s no one else who needs to know...
She tells herself, oh...
Memories back when she was bold and strong
And waiting for the world to come along...
Swears she knew it, now she swears he’s gone
She lies and says she’s in love with him, can’t find a better man...
She dreams in color, she dreams in red, can’t find a better man...
She lies and says she still loves him, can’t find a better man...
She dreams in color, she dreams in red, can’t find a better man...
Can’t find a better man (2x)
Yeah...
She loved him, yeah...she don’t want to leave this way
She feeds him, yeah...that’s why she’ll be back again
Can’t find a better man (3x)
Can’t find a better...man...
Ohh...ohh...
Uh huh... (5x)
Ohh...
Man, people do not know how to drive in this town. Yesterday on my way to lunch I cut through the Walmart back parking lot instead of getting on the highway so I could get to KFC. Two different people at different intersections both appeared to be going straight, so I started to turn behind them, then they both changed their minds and turned right in front of me, neither of them using their turn signals. I was fuming.
Then on the way into town today (my sister needed to get new tires for her car, so I went into town and she followed me) my sister almost got hit by this lady in a minivan who turned into the turning lane Ashley was in and almost ran right into her. Then on the way back to the tire place, some jackass who wasn't paying attention almost pulled out in front of me from the road he was on. Slammed on the brakes, squealing tires. It was great. It was on the passenger side, too, so needless to say, my sister was a little shaken up for the day...glad the horn works in the car...

fertig!
DONE with work! And so happy to be done! I'll be back home labor day weekend to pick up my paycheck, but otherwise...I'm done.
Also, I need to call my cell phone company and ream someone because they charged me $25 to reactivate my phone because THEY didn't get my phone bill paid for 2 months and THEY disconnected it. Because I have it set up for an automatic payment dealie where they take it out of my checking account every month. They said the reason it didn't get paid wasn't due to insufficient funds, but they couldn't tell me WHY it didn't get paid. And there's no way I'm paying fucking $25 because of somethin THEY did. My phone bill was over $70 this month, and that is complete and utter bullshit. I am NOT happy. I should call them now while I'm still mad...
Crap...buisness hours. Gotta call in the morning, I guess. Tomorrow's when I should hear from my landlady, too.
This weekend:

packing
find someone to go to the carnival with me

Drats. Not What I was hoping for. I put my last name in there, too, but it said I would marry a porn star, that I firmly believed in sex at first sight, and that my song was Penny Lane by The Beatles (the only thing out of those three I'd agree on...) Got this from jazz's page.
Off to my last day of work! Yay!

One more day!!!
Oh, thank goodness! I only have one more day of work! Today I only had to work 6 hours, too, so that was a nice change. Then this weekend I will be doing bunches of packing. Everything except the bed and my desk shall be packed and dismembered. I want to get a new desk, 'cause this one is a hand-me-down from my sister and is wobbly and doesn't have enough space on it, 'cause I need some place to put my printer, too.
Wes gave me one of his 'Tennessee' shirts when he visited so I could have something to remember him by, and I wore it today, and had 2 people ask me if I was from TN. Tee hee.
Went to the Ford dealership today to redeem my $500 shopping spree, but they were OUT. And they were STILL trying to sell me a car! I don't want a damn car, I want a hood for my car! Okay, I guess I should back up, as I haven't explained any of this.
I get this thingie in the mail the other day. It's a remote entrance clicker for a Ford Explorer. You take the clicker down, try to open the Explorer, if you do, you win it. Well, I don't really want a new Explorer. But they also have these other prizes that you are guaranteed to win by calling in this phone number and putting in a code that is given to you. So I called it and won a $500 shopping spree. I was like, "SWEET! Now I can buy a new hood for my car!" 'Cause I thought it was a shopping spree of Ford stuff, and my hood's dented and chipped from this big hail storm we had last summer.
I go down to the Ford place after work and talk to some of the salesmen down there, inquiring about the shopping spree, asking what you can buy. "Anything and everything," the guy tells me. Sweet, because I want a new hood for my car, I tell him. So he assumes that means I actually need a new car. No, quite the contrary. I just got that car a year ago last weekend. So he's trying to sell me a car.
Ford Guy (FG): Are you making payments on your car now?
Me: Well, my Dad is...but yeah.
FG: Well, I'll get you into a newer, better car for the same payments.
Me: I don't need a new car, I have a new car. It's only a year old and doesn't even have 20,000 miles on it yet. I just want a new hood. I thought the shopping spree was for Ford stuff.
FG: Oh no, it's for this online shopping mall. What kind of hood do you want?
Me: A blue one?
So I go show him my hood, and he tells me I can either buy a new hood or take it in and get it fixed and repainted, but I'm SOL if I want a new hood. For free, that is. Drats.
Wes' mom has invited Wes and I out to Charelston, North Carolina sometime in late September, possibly. I'm excited if I get to go. We'd have to buy a plane ticket for me to get out there, but otherwise, everything else will be paid for. So I thought that was really cool and nice of her. She's a really nice lady.
Also, either today or tomorrow is my parents' 22nd wedding anniversary, so congratulations to them for having never fought in front of us children. I still have never ever seen or heard of a fight between the two of them. They act like they're still madly in love, kisses all the time, it's cute. And sickening. Oh well. I can only hope I have something like that when I'm in my 40s.

damnit damnit damnit
Well the new girl didn't show up today. Which really struck all of us as weird because she took lots of notes and asked lots of questions and wanted to do more than she was supposed to do yesterday. So she's gone. Have a guy coming in tomorrow morning to interview, I'm pretty sure he'd stick around for a while. Who knows. I'm just going to stop worrying about it because I only have three days left there.
Found a piece of bullet shrapnel in my meatball at dinner tonight. Was chewing and Dad was saying something about how this meat was really good for hamburger and stuff like that, and that Don, one of his employees had shot it and he gave Dad half of it, and I bite into something hard...grrrreat. I figured it was a piece of bone or something that'd been shattered, but no...it was metal.
Also, my left boob hurts a lot on the inside, near my armpit. It's been sharp, shooting pains all day since this afternoon, and it's starting to hurt more and more now, and I'm not sure what it is. Dad said, "Maybe it's growing pains?" And I said, "I hope n...wait...that wouldn't be so bad," and we all got a big laugh out of it. Weird after dinner conversations, yes.
My LAST 10 hour day tomorrow!!! And three days left. Then it's packing-my-room-up city!

congratulations me!
I am now officially debt free!! I paid off my credit card bill tonight since I was able to get my paycheck from Saturday deposited today. And I still have a bunch of money left over. So, yay! I had about $80 left over from when Wes came here and paid me for his half of the plane ticket, so I thought that was pretty good, and added that to my deposit, as well.
Also, I've started balancing my check book again, or at least recording my checks and deposits in the register thingie again. I haven't done that in years. Kinda feels good. And gives me something nerdy to do.
Wes just left me the cutest email. He's getting ready to take the GRE test for graduate school and is pretty nervous about it because he doesn't think he's going to do well on it, but I know he is...anyway...here it is:
I'm off to take a shower. Adios

pray that I do well on this test....so that I might be able to get some money...
if I do well...and I can get into school....don't be surprised at all...if I call you out of the blue (assuming we're together), and say "pack your bags baby...we're going to Belize for 5 days". I mean it....damnit.
